WELCOME!

My name is Joshua Bitalac

I’ve worked across classrooms, communities, and counseling spaces—but at the heart of it all, I’m an educator. Whether guiding a class, leading a workshop, or supporting one-on-one conversations, I’ve helped people learn, grow, and navigate change.

Now, as an instructional designer, I bring this same commitment to designing learning that is purposeful, people-centered, and grounded in real-world needs. I believe that good learning doesn’t just transfer information—it builds confidence, supports autonomy, and drives meaningful action.

My approach is shaped by years of experience supporting learners from diverse backgrounds. I listen deeply, plan intentionally, and design with clarity—so that learning can become a tool for both personal growth and organizational success.

My Design Philosophy

Learning is empowerment.

I believe good instructional design empowers the learner. The process is not a simple matter of delivering information—it’s about understanding the learner’s needs and creating pathways for genuine growth. Empowered learners create effective and productive organizations, where individuals develop autonomy to make informed decisions and navigate complex challenges.

Thus, my design philosophy seeks to create learning environments that empower, not overwhelm. I approach the design process with participatory methods and needs-based planning, ensuring that solutions are built on a balance of data and research, stakeholder input, and clear organizational goals.

For me, the best instructional design listens first, then responds. Learning creates a lasting impact when its foundation is built from genuine understanding.
